We headed over to Virginia Highlands, which is a fun little part of Atlanta. They have a bunch of bars, restaurants and shops to browse. We originally tired to live in that area when we moved down, but it is very difficult to find a house in that area. Since the area is in such high demand, the only way we could have lived there was to live in a condo or apartment which we really didn't wan to do. Having a backyard for Masey to play in was a high priority for us. Plus, we ended up in a really awesome part of town a little north.
I think that she thanks us! Side note, I bought her a frisbee and it is HI-LARIOUS watching her try to catch it.
Back to Saturday night. While Tony and I were walking around the Highlands I decided I was going to make a pit stop at the Ministry of Magic
Then we went to a tequila bar called Pozole
I ordered a skinny margarita that was made with silver tequila, fresh squeezed lime and agave nectar.
Tony ordered a margarita that tasted significantly worse than mine. Guess what he ordered next? Oh, yes. It was a skinny margarita for the boy! :)
We started off with some guacamole that was very, very good
Although Tony said that mine from the other night was better. Go me!
For dinner I ordered the grilled chicken taco salad.
Tony got the grilled shrimp tacos
Unfortunately I started feeling nauseous a little bit before our meals arrived so I wasn't able to eat my dinner or finish my second margarita. :(
I felt bad that I ruined date night. I really wanted to enjoy it! Especially since Tony has to start studying for his Series 7 test starting today and will probably be tied up with that for the rest of the month.
Once we got home I was feeling a little better, so I watched about 1/3 of The Tourist before Masey and I fell asleep on Tony's lap. What stunk was when Tony told me to go upstairs and go to bed.. I couldn't fall asleep... until 3 AM! I watched 'You Again' and 'Life As We Know It'. Both were cheesy but good 12am and 2am movies.
Sunday Tony and I had a few errands to run, so we woke up
It was a super-think turtle pecan something-or-other that Tony ordered
It was delicious, minus the nasty whip cream
I haven't told you about my uber dis-like for whip cream? Well, I can't stand the stuff.
After milkshakes and errands Tony and I took Masey to the dog park at Piedmont Park
Only to find this sign
Can I getta... "wonk wonk".
We actually drove to another nearby dog park only to find that it was torn down, it was not Masey's day. Although I think that she still had fun just riding around with us. Plus she did get in little walk at Piedmont Park.
Once
and dinner was delicious
Recipe to come later!
Three Race Sunday
So as you can probably tell I did not run three races on Sunday, but I did sign up for 3!
- 5K next weekend
- 5k Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving
- Rock n' Roll HALF MARATHON in DC on St. Patty's day (!!!!) I am pumped! I am also seeking running buddies for it! I have 3 maybes (hi, B, Stine and Lee!). You have 7 whole months to get ready/train for it, no excuses!
I'm actually on a little road trip to Agusta, GA today. I'll be back later tonight with recipes and a recap!

I'll definitely think about it. I've run the Publix half here in March for the past 4 years but it might be time for a new one.
