This weekend has been pretty low-key. Friday night Tony and I went to a dinner to a restaurant we had a gift certificate to from the date-box. We went to Ray’s on the River. It was just OK but waaaay over priced for what it was… not worth blogging about or going back to.
Saturday morning Tony, Masey and I did the Brookhaven Bolt 5K. Unfortunately my camera was acting up so I didn’t snap any pictures of us, but it was a fun race! The race had 3 “big” hills, but the rest was pretty great, especially for Atlanta which is known for it’s hills. We posed for a super-cheesy finishers photo that I’m hoping turns out. If it does I will be sure to share!
When the race was over we headed home to shower and eat breakfast before Tony had to head to work, and well… work. I stayed home and did some laundry, picked up and maaaybe played some Wii. ![]()
Around 6:30 we headed to the Virginia Highlands to meet our friends, Mike, Melissa and Jamie for dinner (Jamie’s wife Allison was out of town).
After dinner we all headed over to a fellow UNC-er’s house to hang-out and have some fun. Oh, and did I mention that there is a baby is on the way?!
Please excuse my super-cheese-face, but Melissa is expecting a baby! I’ve known for a while, but it’s the first time I’ve shared it on E4F! Doesn’t she look amazing?! She is just about half-way through her pregnancy and I couldn’t be more excited for her and her husband, Mike!! …even if they are moving away. ![]()
Today (Sunday) I did my weekly grocery shopping (post on that tomorrow am) and then Tony and I went for a family walk with Masey.
We may or may not have been carrying margaritas. I guess we are just preparing for vacation!
That. and I found an awesome marg mix from WF
It was a tad sweet for my taste, but overall really good! Made for excellent walking fuel!
After our 2.5 mile loop we got ready for dinner. For the past few weeks (months?) we have been grilling every Sunday night, and tonight was no different. I hit-up Whole Foods and grabbed salmon burgers for us to eat.
Topped with WF guac and a side of blue corn chips and WF salsa. Deeeelish.
After our dinner we decided that we needed some ice cream and walked up to Brusters for a fix.
Tony’s was melting all over the place, hence his super-intense picture. They also serve doggie ice cream, so Mase was one happy pup!
Now we are chillin’ on the couch getting ready for bed! Great weekend aside from all the work Tony had to do! Definitely looking forward to a vacation on Sunday!
What did you do this weekend?
Sucks that I missed you at the Bolt! I agree, it was a good race, even if I did have to walk.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find that Margarita mix?
Whole foods! They have several flavors!
