Coldplay

Last night I completed day 2 of bootcamp. On the plan was 20 minutes of cardio at a steady pace and a lower body workout. For the cardio Masey and I set out to complete a quick and sweaty 2 mile run. Atlanta summer heat is no joke. 2 miles in the summer feels like 5. Here is Masey’s #proof for the day!

After the run I completed the lower body strength training at home. I didn’t feel like driving to the gym today, and luckily the workout didn’t really require much gym equipment. Just body weight for the most part. One of the moves was a one-legged sit-to-stand, doesn’t sound too bad, but it was quite humbling… By the end of the workout I was sweaty and my legs were burning!

Not going to lie, I was thisclose to not doing this workout. So glad I did! Day 2 in done & done!

Coldplay

Still playing catch-up from my little 3 week blogging hiatus... Let me tell you about the most amazing concert in all the land. Coldplay. Tony and I have been to each show for the last 3 albums (X&Y, Viva La Vida, Mylo Xylo), and let me tell you, each one is better than the one before it. They just put on such and incredible concert, I don’t even know how to describe it. I wish the concert went on for hours and hours and hours. AND HOURS.

Anyway, Tony and I took the MARTA down to Phillips Arena to avoid the inevitable pain of parking and traffic.

MARTA

Once we got to the arena we were given Coldplay wrist bands and told to be sure to wear them since they are a part of the show. We were a little confused, but went along with it!

When we got to our seats we were so upset about how awful our view was.

Um, except not. Our seats were amazing.

Then the show began and we saw what our bracelets were all about.

Each bracelet lit up and was programed to flash differently at different times. So fun (#easilyamused). Here is a little video showing what I’m talking about:

So fun! Here is a little clip of the confetti:

GAH! As you can tell, I FREAKING LOVED THIS CONCERT!!!

Well, that’s enough carrying on, I suppose (but I mean, if you want me to carry on some more, I totally will!).

Moral of the story: If you get the chance, go see them live!

That is all.

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

  1. I went to Coldplay when they were in Houston last month. It was my first time to see them live and they put on a fantastic show! the light bracelets were awesome!

It's hard to choose the best I've ever been to, so I'll narrow it down to this year: Florence and the machine. It's like I could feel the music in my bones!

  2. I did those sit to stand things with no weight and my butt is killing me today! Favorite concert: The Flaming Lips. Pretty much the same reason: confetti.
