First thing first, Meal Plan Monday ..err, Wednesday.
On Sunday night (when I usually write the MPM post) I was so tired I couldn’t do anything other than watch the Olympics. Repeat that for Monday night annnnd yesterday. I’m glued to the TV watching the games!
You should also know that although that menu was the plan for the week, so far have not followed it and I know that tonight will not be pizza. Sometimes my meal plans just don’t work out for my schedule. I really don’t know what I was thinking when I set ‘pot roast’ for a Monday night meal (had the Greek salad instead) and last night I got home from the gym so late I didn’t feel like cooking. Frozen veggie burger FTW! As for the pizza, I forgot to buy dough, so I’ll probably make the spinach and artichoke chicken tonight.
I may not be staying on track according to my menu, but I am keeping up with bootcamp. Friday’s #proof:
I did 20 minutes of steady cardio on the elliptical before completing 3 full body super-sets.
Saturday was a cardio of choice day, I chose to take the dog for a long walk. Kinda the lazy way out, but better than nothing. Sunday was a rest day.
Monday's:
I did 20 minutes of intervals (60sec at 5.0/60sec at 7.5) on the treadmill before completing 3 upper body super-sets.
Tuesday’s:
I did 20 minutes of steady cardio (running) on the treadmill then completed 3 lower body supersets. Feels good be done!
Braves
On Friday night Tony and I scored BOX seats to the Braves vs Phillies game.
I absolutely LOVE baseball, so I was super excited to go! I was also excited because I’ve never enjoyed a game from the comfort of a premium club-level box seat.
It was nice let me tell ya! In addition to the sweet view, our box included free booze and food.
We had such a fun time at the game, plus the Braves won! I may not have always been a Braves fan, but I always have a great time rooting for the home team!
After the game we stayed and watched a full-on 4th of July-type firework show. I’m not kidding, it was awesome!
We had a great little Friday night and then spent the rest of the weekend… you guessed it, watching the Olympics.
GO USA!!
Um, how is it already August?!
Hooray for box seats. Good job on the workouts. Do you go to Adrenaline? I recognized the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI do!
DeleteI took my husband to that game for his b-day. I couldn't believe how cool it was.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! My husband doesn't really care for baseball, so he takes ME for my birthday. ha!
DeleteI love that you share you weekly menu board with us! I'm always interested to see what other people eat for dinner. Being a party of one I'm usually too lazy to cook dinner and just have a protein shake or a snack place (cheese, crackers, lunch meat).
ReplyDeleteBut I try to take the time to cook for myself on the weekends, so it's nice to have extra ideas.
Glad you like it! I like seeing it on other blogs which is why I started doing it! You know, for the most part I am only cooking for one. My husband works really late and his client pays for dinner when he works past 8pm (every night!). I usually make 2ish serving and take the leftovers for lunch the next day!
