Well, I am not using this space for anything else, so I might as well track my pregnancy journey!
Like a lot of people, I wanted to track the bump via chalkboard updates. I started off strong at 5 weeks…
and then didn’t do another update until 21.
To be honest, there really wasn’t much change until about 20 weeks. I didn’t even ‘grow out’ of my regular jeans until 20 weeks. Then, POW, baby got big. And I feel like I am getting bigger ever second. It’s kinda fun, kinda not.
I never thought that I would be the girl who cared about getting bigger during pregnancy, but here I am.. caring. Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled to be having a little one, but getting fat isn’t that fun. Especially when you’re in that awkward, “I look fat, not pregnant”, stage. Luckily I think I am almost past that.
At 22 weeks (I’ll be 23 tomorrow!) I think I’m officially lookin’ knocked up.
How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 2 lbs (I lost 5 pound initially and have gained that back, so I have gained 7lbs, but it’s technically only 2 since I am only up 2lbs from my first prenatal appointment).
Maternity clothes? Definitely in maternity jeans, but I can still wear a lot of my tops.
Stretch marks? Nope. I just bought some cream online though since I am a-growin’
Sleep: Not so great. I’ve always been a stomach sleeper. I bought the Snoogle and it does help though.
Best moment this week: I FINALLY feel her kicks!
Miss Anything? Alcohol. Sad but very, very true!
Food cravings: Not really.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, but I’ve been have pretty bad gas cramps (TMI?). So I’m trying to stay away from foods that make you gassy, which is pretty much all food.

Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In... I have the worlds deepest belly button, so I think it will stay in for a while.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy!
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound later this week (I actually had it today – more info in another post).
As for exercise, I have been trying to do something everyday. My plan every week is this:
- Monday – Bodypump
- Tuesday – Walk
- Wednesday – Prenatal yoga
- Thursday – Bodypump
- Friday – Walk
- Saturday – Prenatal yoga
- Sunday – nada.
Like I said, that is always the plan, but it doesn’t always work out. This week I started off strong with Bodypump on Monday, a long, hilly walk on the treadmill on Tuesday and prenatal yoga on Wednesday (pictures in that order):
but yesterday I was out running errands and I know I won’t get my walk in today. Still better than nothing! Hopefully next week I’ll do them all.
That’s all the update I have for now! I’ll be back with an update this weekend (I’ll be 23 weeks tomorrow!). Plus I am hoping to get a lot done in the nursery this weekend so I’ll be able to show that off too!
